‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale’s Stevie Wonder songs
While it is beyond understandable if you have been so preoccupied as of late with celebration of “Glee’s” two-season renewal that you have really not paid much attention to what is actually coming up on the show, we do now have some music scoop on what is coming up during the Stevie Wonder tribute episode.
This hour, which in part helps to celebrate Stevie’s 50 years in entertainment, is going to air on May 2 as the penultimate episode of the season. However, don’t be discouraged in thinking that the specific placement of this episode automatically implies that we are in for filler this late in the game; rather, we are going to be getting plenty of story to go along with these songs … as evidenced by the fact that Kurt is going to be taking on the lovely “You Are The Sunshine Of My Life.” This is definitely a song that should make Klaine fans especially happy once you remember that Blaine is also appearing in this episode, and the two characters are finally going to have some time to spend together.
Meanwhile, Kevin McHale’s character of Artie is also going to get a solo of his own this week in “For Once in My Life.” This is somewhat appropriate given that Katey Sagal will be appearing this week as his mother, and we can’t think of an original New Directions member save for Mercedes who has been shafted this season as much as he has. (And when it comes to Mercedes, you can make the excuse that Amber Riley’s character was only in a few episodes.)
What do you think about some of these specific song choices? If you do want to also take a look at who for sure is going to be back for “Glee” season 5, you can do so over at the link here.

I couldn’t agree more about Artie being underused. He’s an incredibly gifted actor (his facial expression alone alone crack me up) & he’s has an amazing singing voice. He should definitely stay on for both seasons 5 & 6. I’ve no doubt he will nail that Stevie Wonder song. & I’ve no doubt Chris Colfer will do for ” You are the sunshine of my life” much the same as he did with “I want to hold your hand” which was turn that Beattles classic into an incredibly beautiful rendition of his own. All that said though, I watch “Glee” despite the sometimes ridiculously lame story plot lines because (A) it’s reminded me how much I enjoy music, (B) the cast can be hilarious & make me laugh, but more than either A & B above, Darren Criss is easily the most talented artist I’ve seen in decades. He can sing, dance & act & do if all so well, that its hard to watch anyone else in any scene that he’s in. He’s just got that “it” factor. Incredibley gifted. If he leaves Glee, I’ll be leaving Glee sitb him, he’s just that tented. And I’m not some young groupie fan, I’m a middle aged woman whose seen many artists over the yrs, & that guy is so talented, its amazing to watch him.
