‘Glee’ season 4: Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and more reflect on pilot (video)
Are you ready to let loose a collective “aww”? Well, if you got teary-eyed at all last night watching the “Glee” reprisal of “Don’t Stop Believin'” during the episode “Sweet Dreams,” then you are probably about to do so all over again here.
The video below was released by Fox on Thursday, and it features all of the original members of New Directions (Kevin McHale, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkowitz, Amber Riely, Lea Michele, and Cory Monteith) talking a little bit about what it was like not only being back together for the first time, but also performing the classic Journey hit that helped to propel them into super-stardom. While there are some cute moments in here about how Chris was “scared” upon first coming on set, arguably one of the sweeter bits of dialogue comes via Cory, as he talks about how “intimidated” he was upon watching some of Lea’s videos online prior to even meeting her. Of course, the happy ending there is that the two are now a real-life couple, and you can see their chemistry as they sit together.
“Don’t Stop Believin'” today remains one of the most-popular “Glee” covers ever, and that is really saying quite a bit considering that the show has four years in the can now. Production on the latest season officially wrapped on Friday, which is good news in that there is only a few weeks to edit it and get it ready to air on Thursday, May 9 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
