‘The X Factor’ USA / UK: Fifth Harmony news, and a voting change

LylasWe’re going to start off our “X Factor” article this time around with an announcement for all the Tate Stevens fans out there: we’re chatting with him Thursday! We’ll hopefully have a good interview from the reigning champ up on the site by this weekend pending a last-minute schedule change, so be on the lookout for that.

With that, it seems like the perfect segue into what is happening with Fifth Harmony in the studio. In a post on Twitter, the ladies confirmed that they spent some time in the studio Wednesday with the Sarasota-based trio Boyce Avenue. In case you haven’t heard any of the tunes that they have worked on in the past, check out their recent cover of the Maroon 5 track “Daylight.”

In shifting over to the UK series, we also want to talk about the rumors floating around the internet that the results are going to actually be revealed live as they were in America this past season. Will this actually happen? We hope not, given that this was one of the worst things about season 2 in the US. It completely took the drama out of Tate’s win, since you knew already that he was a beast who was either in the first or second spot all season. We like how they release all of the results (including percentages) at the end of the season, that way you can comb back over all of them.

What do you think about this proposed change? If you want to check out the latest “X Factor” judging rumors from across the pond, be sure to head on over to the link here.
