‘Hart of Dixie’ season 2, episode 20 preview: Things get serious

Hart of DixieWhile we have seen our fair share of comedy and romance throughout “Hart of Dixie” season 2 thus far, next week’s new episode “If Tomorrow Never Comes” is going to focus on something else entirely: namely, we’re dealing with Brick going through a life-changing illness, and something that could potentially make those close to him freak out. As a matter of fact, we see it happen with at least one person in the promo below, and there may be more once the secret starts to spread.

For more on this very subject, we present you with the full synopsis for the episode below (if you have not had an opportunity to read it already):

“After Zoe (Rachel Bilson) tricks Jonah (guest star Travis Van Winkle) into spilling a secret about Brick (Tim Matheson), she unintentionally makes things worse for Brick in his love life. Following Brick’s advice, Zoe decides she must finally express her feelings, but timing never seems to be her strong suit. Wade (Wilson Bethel) and Lemon (Jaime King) must learn to work together, but things go awry when they each try to prove that they know what is best for the new Rammer Jammer. Knowing what Wade and Lemon are up to, Lavon (Cress Williams) and AnnaBeth (guest star Kaitlyn Black) agree to not get involved, but that might be easier said than done. Meanwhile, Tansy’s (guest star Mircea Monroe) brothers surprise her with an unexpected visit, leaving George (Scott Porter) to look after them and put up with their wild antics.”

Hopefully by the end of this episode, we’ll have a little bit of a better idea what is ahead for Brick, and also if George manages to get out of meeting some people who care about Tansy quite a bit without any major bumps or bruises.

What do you think of the idea behind this episode, and are you okay with “Hart of Dixie” taking on what is quite a serious subject? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can read our full review of Tuesday night’s episode over at the link here.
