‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: A tale of uniformity
Is there really any way to actually understand “Dexter” episode titles upon first hearing them? Not really, but we do still like to do our best at decoding them.
According to SpoilerTV, the upcoming eighth episode of season 8 carries with it a title that is definitely mysterious, mostly because we are dealing with characters who have never been forced to worry about such things: “Dress Code.” Who could this be referring to? If we had to guess, it’s a reference to Harrison really starting to grow up? The child is finally going to be at an age this season where he is actually able to start to understand what is going on around him … including possibly starting to ask questions about why daddy is gone so much.
Is Harrison now at a place where he is forced to wear a specific outfit to school everyday? It’s possible, but we’re betting that there is more to this title than just this. The best “Dexter” episodes are named after something literal that happens in the episode, along with something metaphorical to go along with it. Take, for example, “Argentina” from last season: it represented a place that Hannah McKay told herself would be her sanctuary, and the episode was really all about how Dexter and Hannah learned to find that within each other (at least for a time, but we all know how season 7 ended).
In speaking of Yvonne Strahovski, her character will end up returning for more. All we know is that she is booked for multiple episodes, and Debra clearly has to watch herself after the attempt on her life last time.
