‘American Idol’ season 12 spoilers: Will Amber Holcomb, Janelle Arthur stay until May?
On Monday morning, Fox released their schedule of upcoming episodes for a number of key programs during the month of May, and if you are a fan of “American Idol,” there is probably one thing that stood out to you here almost immediately: for the show’s first episode on May 1, there are still four contestants listed as staying a part of the competition.
So what does this mean? Basically, that on either this week or next week’s edition of the show, there will be a situation where none of the contestants are sent home. We figure this will likely be done on a case-by-case basis, but the show is not going to suddenly shorten its season because the save was not used in its allotted time.
What we figure is going to happen instead here is that either the save is being pushed forward into this week, or that Ryan Seacrest is just going to come out during one of the next two shows and announce that nobody is going home. Of course, they won’t do it in advance, since they want to still ensure that viewers tune in to their results show. Plus, they will likely still share results even if no one ends up going home, mostly because they want to ensure that fan bases have a reason to keep on hitting their favorite voting method in a big way. At the moment, Angie Miller, Candice Glover, and Kree Harrison are the favorites, with Amber Holcomb and Janelle Arthur bringing up the rear.
