‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Angie Miller, and Jennifer Hudson
We’re going to start off this Sunday edition of “American Idol” notes by talking about what has to be an extremely significant honor for one Adam Lambert: getting the opportunity to actually receive the key to Miami Beach earlier today.
This honor for Adam came about as a part of Miami Pride 2013, where he is performing and making a series of appearances at this year. The video below is just a great deal of fun, mostly because it’s not really like any “key to the city” ceremony that we have ever seen in our time covering such events. Both Adam and the folks in the audience are more than willing to have a little bit of fun with it.
We’re not only happy that Adam is getting an opportunity to be recognized for what he does for the LGBT community, but that he is also stateside in order to start work again on some new music for his upcoming third album. (Video source.)
The top 5 hang out with the Los Angeles Kings – You don’t get many opportunities during “American Idol” to actually take breaks, but the remaining ladies in the competition all had one courtesy of the opportunity to actually attend a Los Angeles Kings game a little earlier in the week.
There is an extra “American Idol” connection when it comes to the Kings, as season 10 star Pia Toscano is the official National Anthem singer for the team. This dates back to their improbable run to the Stanley Cup, and she has become a fixture and a sort of good-luck charm ever since.
The video below was posted by Angie Miller on Vine, as she, Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, Amber Holcomb, and Janelle Arthur all had a chance to attend a game.
Finally – Let’s close this article off here with a performance from Jennifer Hudson from the AXS TV event The Power of Love Gala: Quincy Jones and Sir Michael Caine’s 80th Birthday Celebration. You’re welcome. (Source.)

Not to nit-pick but Adam is performing for Gay Pride and received the key to the city of Miami Beach, not Miami. You might want to correct that before this incorrect name spreads further and causes an issue.
