‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 finale spoilers: Camilla Luddington says ending still secret
Want to know how “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 is going to come to a close? You’re not the only one. At the moment, there are only a select few within the world of the Shonda Rhimes organization that actually know everything that is going on … and that does not even necessarily include the cast. For more evidence on this very thing, just look at what actress Camilla Luddington (who plays the intern Jo) recently published to her Twitter account Thursday:
“Oh & fyi: we still have NO idea how s9 actually ends.that script we got was ep23-aka the 1st part of the finale.the 2nd part is STILL a secret.”
Luddington later added that she heard the cast will finally be clued in to the ending on Monday, which for this show has to be a pretty terrifying thing to wait around for. Anyone who has seen a Rhimes show over the years knows already just how painful and tragic their season-ending episodes can be, and after all of the buildup between Alex and Jo all season long, we don’t know what we would do with ourselves if the rug was pulled out from under us (especially since we went through that just last year with Mark and Lexie).
While we’re feeling good about things in the long-term for Luddington and Justim Chambers’ characters, we’re not sure that we can say the same thing for the rest of the cast. After all, this finale was changed around almost at the eleventh hour, and may have thus ended up becoming more dramatic and intense than Rhimes originally intended for it to be. Since the change, she has said virtually nothing about it to anyone, and characters’ lives could conceivably hang in the balance.
