‘The X Factor’ USA: Beatrice Miller joins Fifth Harmony, Emblem3 with record deal
Chalk this up as one of the more surprising (but also welcome) announcements of the day. Despite not finishing within even the top 6 on season 2 of “The X Factor” late last year, and at times feeling as though she had the weight of the entire world on her shoulders, Beatrice Miller has landed a record deal with Syco Music and Hollywood Records. This is the first major collaboration between the two labels.
Ultimately, Hollywood is a great fit for Beatrice in that they excel at taking young artists and allowing them time to grow and become superstars. Want some examples? How about the following three names: Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez. These three have sold millions of albums and also toured around the world, and it’s hard to fathom a way in which Beatrice would not be granted the same sort of opportunities if she can get some great music going in the studio.
The best part about this deal is merely that Miller is supremely talented, and often was held back on the show with songs (ones that weren’t even picked by her to perform) that caused her to sound dated. She will finally be able to come up with her own sound, and not be rushed into giving any performance before she is ready to do so.
Beatrice is the fifth contestant from “The X Factor” this season to sign with Syco Music in some capacity. Fifth Harmony, Emblem3, and Tate Stevens have all worked rather extensively on getting their music to the market; meanwhile, Carly Rose Sonenclar also has a deal with Syco that is just waiting for another label to jump on.
As a way to commemorate this announcement, Beatrice wrote the following (in all caps, of course) on her Twitter account:
“THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH I’M GONNA GET IN THE STUDIO TO GET AN ALBUM OUT AS SOON AS I CAN YAY.”
Are you thrilled for Beatrice? If you want to read the latest news from the likes of Carly, Emblem3, and more, be sure to check out the story over at the link here.

referring to Beatrice Miller: for a 14 year old to post her Twitcon as her face and some little kid flipping off the world….real classy. To be honest, I’m surprised Disney would want to align themselves with someone like that given their focus on children and families. She’s already showing odd behavior, can you imagine how out of control she could get if her first contract signing flops, which it probably will….

…Lauren I agree. She has Lindsay Lohan written all over her but worse. The behaviors we are seeing now will most likely (just my opinion) get worse over time. It’s sad to see and kinda wrong that this kind of behavior gets rewarded.

This girl is the next Lindsay Lohan. Something about her is off and she’s so upfront about her family problems and the pressure to be in show business because her family needs the money. Why would any parent do that? I feel badly for her financial situation but her parents shouldn’t be pressuring her to go into show business they should get jobs if they don’t have one. If they have one, then I don’t know why Bea says she needs show business to support her family financially. Dinah Lohan did this to her daughter and the same thing is happening to this girl. It may be why she acts out in public and is cursing all the time.

It’s a real shame real talent like Diamond and Carly Rose are not signed and this slob gets signed. I should probably support Bea becuz she’s close to Emblem3, but she’s too desperate trying to get attention. I don’t care if she swears but she’s like 14. She’s just trying to be like her hero Taylor Momsen. She seems to have anger issues becuz on her twitter she’s snapping at people and sayinf f— you to her haters. Diamond and carly compose themselves and they get hate too but they ignore it, they don’t cuss out their haters. Beatrice needs to control herself. The other day someone made fun of Diamond’s race that’s way worst than whatever hate Bea is getting but Diamond didn’t curse this person out. Learn to conduct yourself you’re a public person now Beatrice.

She has a cool tone but she doesn’t know how to use her voice properly. Hence why britney said she needs to control her loudness. Her voice hasn’t developed like Carly’s and she isn’t really singing when she tries to hit high notes just screaming and no doubt that damaged her. Plus on the X factor she seemed like a bit of a mess the whole time (yes she was only 13) but she was on the verge of a breakdown on multiple occasions. Honestly diamond was the most composed both times she was eliminated so I was really really surprised she hasn’t landed a deal. Plus she can’t be tweeting swearing or sexual innuendos. She needs to be more professional like carly or diamond

Danni, what link? It’s not showing. The festival wants who to perform in Brasil? i’d like to see them if they do come here.

@Anna, I share your concerns and hope she’s closely monitored but I think most of you are missing the point of this signing. Bea is now a part of the Disney family and with an already impressive filmography, 15 TV/movie titles to her credit not including the X-Factor, they will use her wisely. I’m not a fan of vulgarity and I myself don’t use it but I also don’t judge or define a person by their use of it. If her management feels it, or her “blue” humor is a problem, they’ll deal with it. The comparisons of season 2 artists with those from season 1 and their fates are just ridiculous and shows the true ignorance of those making them. The Oct 2013 Z Festival, biggest in Brazil is trying to book the top three acts shown in the link below and with the exception of E3, that’s without having any original music to perform. There’s a growing worldwide thirst for them and their music which isn’t seen with season 1 acts even after some released original music. And keep an eye on some of the other season 2 acts, they haven’t been forgotten yet either :)

Beatrice is not nice in person :/ she exploded at some kids at the funplex because they wanted pics with her or her autograph. I thought she was the cool one but I guess not. Her friends are rude too they told us “go away” or “you guys are annoying”. She apologized on her instagram for losing her temper but the lasting image of her profanity laced tirade will always be there I’ll remember it. I’m not a fan anymore

I’m honestly surprised that she was signed. I did read somewhere that Beatrice had problems and couldn’t speak for like a week or two after her procedure. Best of luck to her. Why do I always see this “Danni” in the comments section lately? You seem to know a lot about x factor. Do you work there or with Simon Cowell? Just curious.

I don’t like her tbh. She sounds horrible live. This signing reminds me of Rachel Crow except Rachel had real talent as a singer. Beatrice will be forgotten in a year just like Rachel.

Beatrice has vocal issues. “hemorrhaging vocal chord” is never good especially that young. She needs help bc if she continues singing the way she’s been singing, she won’t have a voice in her 20s. She needs a coach bc during the finale Beatrice tweeted her voice wasn’t a 100%. I could tell she was straining during her performances and Britney was right, her problem is she can’t control the loudness to her voice. Beatrice has a cool tone to her voice, but with her already existing vocal issues, she’s probably going to have problems when she’s touring. No way she’s the next Britney Spears. Beatrice is more like Avril Lavigne.

I wrote the earlier post about not following Bea any longer on twitter. Swearing is pretty common, I’m 15 and I do but not much. The problem I had with Bea is she’s in the limelight now, lots of children much younger than her following her and looking up to her and she has far too much inappropriate content for teens (and younger kids) on her twitter page, it’s the f word, the sexual innuendos, other swear words. She has to understand to dial that behavior back a little until she’s at a more appropriate age. And again the topic was about Bea and someone has to bring Carly’s name in to the mix. May be Carly does swear, but she’s never posted a single swear word or inappropriate topic once, she gets it….when you have that much exposure to the world you have to be careful. I’ll still listen to Bea’s music when it’s released but personally have no interest in going to one of her concerts or following on twitter any long. That’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it, you don’t have to agree with me but respect my position.

@Guest Oh yeah it’s called TWITTER, not tweeter.

I have found her on her tweeter using the F word on an occasion or two. That is not appropriate for a 14 yr old. Her picture on her twitter account shows her holding two large lemons, one on each chest , as if they were her breasts. I hope she turns out ok in the long run.

I can’t believe that people still don’t get that the X-Factor is a reality singing competition show with a heavy emphasis on reality. Bea leaving the show had little to do with her emotional state and everything to do with her having a hemorrhaging vocal chord. Had she remained another week, she very well could have sustained permanent damage and no one wanted to risk that. Simon knew she was, and is an exceptional talent and not just vocally. Out of all the contestants, I saw Bea fitting best with Hollywood Records (Disney) and I’m so happy they finally signed her.

Didn’t Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus both had meltdowns? Maybe signing her wasn’t the best idea.

I don’t know about this signing…i just don’t know! No doubt the girl has some talent, but i think she is going to need a lot of mentoring. Oh and yes, when she sang for survival on the X Factor Simon stated that it was beginning to be too much for her emotionally and decided it was best for her to leave the competition.

I heard the same things but just dont know the truth behind it. There are a lot of problems for her. I stopped following her on twitter because of some of the sexual innuendos often mentioned by her and others. I get that she’s just being herself but for a 14 year old there was just too much inappropriate topics for my taste. I think they are going to regret signing her. I do think she has amazing talent and an incredible voice but could see he spiraling out of control down the road. I hope I’m wrong but when I started following her on twitter and saw her personality I thought that and then when I heard about her signing a deal all I hope is her having a really good support system and people who can guide her in the right direction.

@ssssssmiley, If you’re going to post rumors you should also post your source so others can judge whether to believe you or not. Regardless your own age, posting rumors about a 13 year old girl is just sick!

I love her voice but I am not sure of her maturity. I really worry about someone like Bea who is talented but may not be emotionally mature to handle the pressures of making and promoting an album. I heard that in the X Factor house she was a mess. It could all be attributed to her parents getting divorced but I was told that she was highly emotional the whole time
