‘American Idol’ top 5 spoilers: Kree Harrison’s new theme; plus, Clay Aiken!
For many “American Idol” fans, their fears are now soothed following Thursday night’s results show. Lazaro Arbos is now gone from the competition, and we have something that has never happened on the show before: a top five that is entirely of one gender. The show proved this season that fans are not just voting for the boys week after week, and while it was clear that these girls were far and away the more talented group of the bunch, you also have to blame America for some of the decisions that they made in picking the top five guys out of the ten choices available to them.
So what are Kree Harrison, Candice Glover, Angie Miller, Janelle Arthur, and Amber Holcomb going to sing next? It seems to be broken down into two parts: “Divas” (which means some ridiculously slow numbers from the likes of Whitney Houston and of course the show’s own Mariah Carey that we’ve heard a hundred times before) as well as songs from the year of your birth. the latter is more promising, mostly because we’re looking at either the late eighties or the earlier nineties.
Even when it comes to the special guests on next week’s results show, we are also getting a throwback. Season 3 champion Fantasia will perform her new single “Lose to Win” (which is one of our personal favorite tracks of hers), while season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken will return to the show for the first time in years with a currently-unknown performance.
What do you think of the theme for the week, and which one of these five ladies do you think is going to be the first to leave? If you want to read our review of Thursday’s result show, you can do so over here.

Candice has been just as consistent as Kree during this competition. She has made smart song choices and mixed things up as often as possible. Despite the praise that Kree has so deservedly received, she has yet to have a big moment on the show, while Candance has had several. What it should come down to this year is what type of music you like because both singers are equally as talented. It’s sad that America has never taken to Amber because she is the whole package as Jimmy Iovine likes to say.

Kree will win. she has been at the top every week and has not drawn any criticism from the judges. She is solid every week and is likely to deliver a knock out performance or two before the finale. It’s hers to loose, and she won’t even stumble.

Kree is the more polished singer, Candice has more potential and is the natural musician. With work and guidance, she will be a powerhouse in the industry. I actually bought her single from the show on Wednesday. Amber also has major potential and is more commercially acceptable as a major star that will crossover, but America doesn’t like her. She won’t win, but will have a great career if she doesn’t get her head turned around.
The male judges are trying to balance the women who obviously don’t like each other, and that whole dynamic is awkward. Finally Lazaro is gone, nice kid, great story. can’t sing. We lost some good male singers who could have competed.

There is nothing that Kree Harrison won’t be able to sing. Her voice is melodious and soothing, something that is so refreshing that you just have to listen to her songs. Candice on the other hand, doesn’t have the smoothness and sometimes breaks out into some kind of an unknown tongue where it is impossible to discern exactly what it is she is singing.
