NBC’s ‘The Office’ season 9: Will Ferrell stars in first part of retrospective web series
Do you want an opportunity to remember “The Office” completely over the course of the next several weeks? Well, NBC looks to be giving you that opportunity courtesy of some new videos designed to pay tribute to the long-running comedy series. Produced by series star John Krasinski (Jim Halpert), the purpose of these clips is to really just show what some select faces from the show over the years had to say about their time watching and appearing on it.
For the first part, we start with one of the higher-profile guest stars to ever grace the show in Will Ferrell: when the star of “Anchorman” was announced to be making an appearance for an arc during season 7 as DeAngelo Vickers, a man designed to help make a smooth transition from Michael Scott to a new boss, it was definitely a surprise to many fans. After all, the comedian was at the top of his game, and there are not many occasions where someone like this chooses to appear on a TV show. It’s really a testament to the sort of respect that “The Office” has in the comedy community.
While Ferrell’s guest arc is not actually that notable when you compare it to some other character stories over the year, the actor does have some fun in the video below, whether it be by talking about the show or eating his lunch right in the middle of the interview. It’s basically just what you would expect from Ferrell, and he has a little bit of fun with the show.
What do you think about this video? If you want to watch a preview for Thursday night’s episode featuring none other than guest star Roseanne Barr, you can do so over at the link here.
