‘Dancing with the Stars 16’ results: Did Lisa Vanderpump survive after health woes?
Tuesday night’s “Dancing with the Stars” results show was to us a test of one of the more interesting trends in reality TV: the voting process. Typically, the first contestants to perform on a show are the ones that are in the most trouble, and you could interpret that rule here to suggest that Sean Lowe would be in danger, despite having a rather hefty fan following. However, none of this mattered, and he was free from the bottom two yet again.
On the flip side, the last person to perform typically gets a bump when it comes to the voting, especially if they went through some sort of health crisis during the week. This happened to Lisa Vanderpump, and despite getting low scores, these other factors helped her out. Something similar could be said for Andy Dick, as people tend to get a bump after being in jeopardy, and his emotional dance brought Carrie Ann Inaba to tears.
There was a part of us that thought that Lisa was actually going to pull a Dorothy Hamill and leave the competition, but she apparently thinks that her recent health woes are the result of sickness, and she will be able to continue on. However, she and Andy were both “in jeopardy” at the end of the show along with Victor Ortiz, who suddenly fell on hard times in the scoring after having a bit of a comeback the week before.
Andy was saved at the eleventh hour by the viewers, which meant that Victor and Lisa were the bottom two, and that the contestant ultimately heading home was Lisa. We were a little surprised given that she did go last, and it seemed that some of her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” fans would be behind her now that the Bravo show is over for the season.
