‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4: Joseph Morgan professes ‘Originals’ excitement
Are you enthused about “The Originals” getting a chance to air in the fall? If so, you’re far from the only one. The “Vampire Diaries” spin-off is one of the few examples of a pilot that generates buzz without anyone seeing it, and it also introduces a pretty interesting dilemma for The CW: if they don’t decide to pick it up, they better be prepared for a deluge of hate mail from angry fans.
The odds of “The Originals” as a series being picked up at the moment are rather high, and the network knew in even giving this show a pilot that they would be facing backlash if nothing came out of it. So as excited as many of you out there may be about this show, you’re going to be hard-pressed to be even more enthused than one of the series’ actors. After all, this is what Joseph Morgan had to say about the gig in a post on his Twitter account:
“I can’t believe ‘The Originals’ airs this month in the US. I’m so incredibly excited for you all to witness what could be. Counting down ;)”
For Morgan, this experience has to be even more rewarding than it is for many. After all, he has had to work extremely hard and fight for almost everything that he has earned in his life, and as an actor it has to be validation to stand on top of the metaphorical mountain and realize that you’re about to make a great living doing what you love.t
Daniel Gillies and Claire Holt will be joining Morgan on this show should it get picked up, and the backdoor pilot airs on April 25, one week after the show returns from its brief April hiatus.
