‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Details on Chris Colfer, Sarah Jessica Parker
Just in case you were wondering why in the world Sarah Jessica Parker decided to come back to “Glee” for one additional appearance as Vogue.com editor Isabelle, we now have some sort of answer for you: it’s all about using the talents of Chris Colfer’s Kurt in order to lend a helping hand. (Of course, we are sure that there is also much more to it than that.)
As you may have heard already, the 20th episode of the season is entitled “Lights Out,” and for the first few words of the synopsis below, it almost sounds like an episode of “Revolution.” However, from this point on there are quickly a number of things made apparent:
“When the power goes out at McKinley High, Will and Finn enlist the members of New Directions to ‘unplug’ and perform acoustic numbers. Meanwhile, Isabelle Wright (guest star Parker) asks Kurt to volunteer at the Vogue.com charity event, with Rachel and Santana in tow.”
So first and foremost, we have to pay attention to the fact that Will and Finn have apparently gotten over their bro-fight enough for the two to be helping out New Directions in sync leading up to their next regionals appearance. With that being said, the whole “unplugged” idea sounds incredibly cheesy.
Overall, this episode on the surface just sounds like a bit of filler to keep us from knowing what we really want, including the results of Rachel’s “Funny Girl” audition and the status of all the relationships Since there are two more episodes to go until that time, maybe this is being kept a secret on purpose. It’s also notable that this will be Cory Monteith’s last episode of the season, as he made a decision to enter treatment before production of episode 21.
