‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: First details on Robin Hood’s appearance
Are you looking forward to seeing another famous character step into the world of “Once Upon a Time”? If so, we’re sure that you are jumping up and down at the thought of seeing some of Robin Hood on the hit ABC series. Unfortunately, there is also some sad news to report for those of you hoping to see Tom Ellis’ role developed into something enormous a la Captain Hook or Belle: it’s not going to happen, at least for the time being.
Instead, executive producer Edward Kitsis teases to TVLine that longtime fans of the show should instead take this appearance by Ellis for the time being as an isolated appearance similar to what we saw from Cinderella or Hamsel and Gretel during the show’s first season:
“It’s done in the spirit of what we did a lot in Season 1 — bringing in a character and mashing him up with our story without having to do ‘the Robin Hood story.’ But now there is a character in our universe who, should the time arise, we would love to delve into further.”
The only thing that could make getting more of Robin Hood tough? Ellis currently is a part of the ABC pilot “Gothica,” and should that show end up getting picked up to series, he is not going to have much in the way of time on his hands.
We will see the appearance of Robin hood on the show for its November 21 episode, which is its first back from a lengthy hiatus.
