‘Glee’ season 4, episode 18 preview: Heather Morris’ Brittany has a dedication
While we know that the upcoming “Glee” episode “Shooting Star” is really going to deal with some pretty rough stuff at times, we also have more confirmation than ever now that there is going to be plenty of silliness thrown in as a result. Remember some of those photos floating around that show Brittany, Sam, and Lord Tubbington all together at McKinley High? Well, we now know a little bit more as to why the feline is present at the school.
As you can see in the video sneak peek below, New Directions is actually going to be performing a take on the classic “More Than Words” as a serenade from Brittany to the cat and star of “Fondue For Two.” Is this perfectly in line with her character? Definitely, though we find it a little weird that she is more interested in dedicating her feelings to her cat in song than with either Sam or Santana.
The other interesting thing is that Morris (who is reportedly pregnant with her first child) actually does not speak in an interview on the set. Instead, we have Melissa Benoist (Marley) attempting to explain the situation for us, and we also have a few behind-the-scenes details about how Lord Tubbington is shot in the scenes and cared for by some of the animal handlers. For those who don’t know very much about how animals are used in television production, this is actually a pretty informative video worth watching.
What do you think about Brittany singing a serenade for her cat: is it perfectly within her character to you, even if you wish she was singing it to one of the show’s other human characters?
