‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: Taking a look within
It’s been a while since there has been any news breaking on the “Dexter” season 8 front, and it’s for this reason that we’re pleased to unveil what will be the sixth episode (and midway point) of the show airing this summer. According to SpoilerTV, this episode carries with it the title of “A Little Reflection.” So when could it air? Unless Showtime bizarrely takes a week off during the summer, which there’s no reason to given that the Fourth of July does not fall on the weekend this year, it will happen on Sunday, August 4.
So what could this title mean? If we were to put on our speculative hat, it could be a reference to Dexter looking back at his own life. We have heard already that there will be some references to the killer’s past in this season, which does make some sense given that there are some gaps still open in the backstory, even if you include some of “Early Cuts” webseries episodes that have aired.
Of course, it may also be a failure to assume that this title is about Dexter, since we know that Deb surely has plenty to reflect on herself in between killing LaGuerta and the monster her brother really is. It could also be more literal than anything else, as there could be something in regards to a case that involves mirrors or even looking at one’s reflection in the ocean (a place that Dexter knows very well).
There are twelve episodes in season 8, but tragically still no word on whether or not we are looking at a series finale later this year.

I hear Showtime has decided to cancel dexter after this season because they think they want to put some new show ray Donavan on. As soon as dexter is canceled, my subscription to Showtime will be canceled. I have no interest in another series, dexter is too great a series to be canceled.
