‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: New scoop on Naya Rivera, Darren Criss, and more

For the first time in quite a while, “Glee” executive producer Ryan Murphy chose on Monday night to actually engage in a Twitter Q&A session, and what we ended up finding out were a few pretty tasty morsels of what is to come moving forward this season (at least so long as it was not just a stream of elaborate April Fools’ joke).

We’ll start with the post that seems to be causing quite a start in some of the shipper communities, as Murphy was asked whether or not we would see Santana perform a certain song about Brittany on the show moving forward. His response? Well, let’s just say it’s polarizing?

“Wouldn’t you rather see Santana singing to a hot together girl in NY who could emotionally give her a real relationship? I do.”

To an extent, Murphy’s comment may be getting skewed somewhat; we don’t think he is necessarily trying to infer that Brittana was not a real relationship back when it existed, but instead trying to make it clear that it doesn’t make any sense for Naya Rivera’s character to wait around for someone who is in a relationship with someone else, and it’s not a good look for her to sit around and mope over the fact that Brittany is with somebody else. (Then again, there may be trouble on the horizon for Brittany and Sam. Stay tuned.)

As for some other scoop, Murphy promised that Mike Chang will return to the show soon, we’ll get a major update soon on Mercedes, and that the final two episodes of the season will contain plenty of Kurt, Blaine, and Kurt’s father Burt. Fans of Mike O’Malley, rejoice! It also seems as though Klaine is on a good trajectory, though Murphy is hoping to see Oliver Kieran-Jones back as Adam at some point (who we are genuinely rooting for when it comes to love, even if it’s not with Kurt).
