Ratings: ‘Nikita’ season 3 survives Good Friday; ‘Shark Tank,’ ‘Happy Endings’ fall

NikitaGood Friday is not traditionally one of the better days of the year for TV ratings, since you have so many families either traveling or off doing other things in preparation for Easter Sunday. However, there were at least a few networks that tried to do something, to albeit pretty mixed results.

First of all, you may as well now just stick a for in “Happy Endings”: the brilliant little comedy that could is done after three seasons. While not officially canceled, we don’t see any way that it will survive after averaging a 0.8 rating during its two half-hours on the night. Not only that, but but these ratings actually make “Last Man Standing” and “Malibu Country” look rather good by comparison. “Happy Endings” may have also hurt “Shark Tank,” which dropped down this week to a 1.7 after having a higher number for the past few new episodes.

On NBC, “Grimm” scored a 1.3 rating, which is something that is pretty weak even while its standards, while “Fashion Star” continued to be horrible with its 0.8. (At least its consistent with that number.) CBS was bailed out courtesy of NCAA basketball, so they really did not have anything at all to even worry about.

Finally, there is some good news to report on the “Nikita” front. Friday night’s new episode of the Maggie Q series managed to tie its last 0.4 rating, and considering the sports competition and the holiday, that should help even more to secure that a fourth-season renewal will happen.

What do you think about some of these numbers? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can read our full review of this past “Shark Tank” episode just by heading on over to the link here.
