‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Naya Rivera’s ‘Shooting Star’ absence; scandals ahead

There is still tragically quite a wait ahead until “Glee” returns with “Shooting Star” next month, but we do have at least a couple more details for you now. First of all, how about confirmation as to what you won’t be seeing during this episode? We’ve told you before that due to the stunning event that occurs at McKinley High in the episode, we won’t be seeing the New York universe during the episode, and that is confirmed now in an interview with E! News. If Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, or Naya Rivera find a way to do any work in the episode, it will be a surprise. (None of the three are listed as appearing in the official press release.)

In addition to this, the press release also mentions that there are going to be some other “scandalous reveals” coming up during the episode. Hopefully, this means that we will actually get some more discussion about whether or not Rachel is actually pregnant coming, along with whether Brittany or Sam will stay together, what Blaine wants to do post-graduation, and also just what exactly is going on with Ryder and “Katie,” the mysterious girl he’s talking to online.

One of the real joys of “Glee” as a series is its ability to keep you guessing, and hopefully the final episodes of the season will do just that. They also have the incredible challenge of trying to find a way to tie together enough loose ends in order to keep people invested, and also setting the stage for a potential season 5 that will hopefully be a little bit less complicated than wehat we have experienced this time around.
