‘The Vampire Diaries’: See Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev’s incredibly kind gesture
While Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have been known to crack a few necks on “The Vampire Diaries” from time to time (or something worse, in the case of what happened Thursday night with Elena), you have to give them some serious credit here for caring about their fans. After all, who else would, in the middle of shooting season, actually fly out of the country in order to see a young person who is in need of a lung transplant?
The first video you see below is from the two actors mentioned above to Kayla Baker, a young girl, like many out there who watch the show regularly. However, she is someone who has literally been forced to fight for her life while waiting for a lung transplant. She lives in Toronto (where Dobrev grew up and worked before landing her “Vampire Diaries” role), and the second video you can see below is a full account of her story and what she has gone through. It’s definitely a tear-jerker, so be sure you have a hankie ready while you see it.
This is really one of those stories that you want to think about as good through and through: it’s good for whoever managed to inform Ian and Nina about this story, and of course to both of them and even the “Vampire Diaries” production team for making sure that they would be able to do this. We don’t want to spend too much time talking about this in lieu of the videos; just be sure to send Baker some good vibes, as we’ll be doing the same thing.
On a scale from on to a million, how sweet do you think this move by Nina and Ian is? If you want to check out a preview for Thursday night’s “Vampire Diaries,” you can do so over at the link here.
