‘Dexter’ season 8: Some new teases via Jennifer Carpenter
We do still have a little while to wait until “Dexter” season 8 arrives on TV, but we have to thank Jennifer Carpenter at the moment. Why? The show’s star is still finding a way in which to have a little bit of fun with the show’s fans while we wait for the show’s June 30 launch on Showtime … and there may even be a few spoilery bits in here to go along with it.
In a new post on her Twitter account, Carpenter shared the photo to the left, and she also attached to it the following rather silly caption:
“Took a break from shooting Dexter the other day to shoot an ad for my new fragrance: ‘PONDer’. Out never. So dumb!!!”
So why was Carpenter at a pond? We don’t want to give too much away here, but let’s just say that Deb ended up getting herself pretty much submerged at one point. (Hence the towel, right?)
Meanwhile, Carpenter also posted the following tweet that may or may not be related to the show, but given the name of the women that Debra Morgan killed at the end of the season 7 finale, you have to think that at least part of this is a reference to it:
“Two questions: 1. How do you solve a problem like Maria? 2. WHEN did things get so f***ing expensive??”
Ah yes: for those of you who do not have a Twitter, Carpenter swears on it almost as much as Deb does on the show. Think of it as a calling card. Anyway, take from the quote what you will, and we’re just assuming that it means that LaGuerta’s death is not going to create an easy situation for Deb and Dexter to wiggle out of.
What do you think about Carpenter’s photo? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can read some more news related to show casting over at the link here.

How do you solve a problem like Maria? Is a song from Sound of Music (movie/musical). Not much helpful but…

I think it’s great that they threw some teasers out for the fans. Most of us who love the show are dedicated Dexter fans who appreciate any word or hint that we can get! Jennifer is sooo not a fame whore. Like any great employee, she is promoting the show. She knows people are chomping at the bit for any news. I’m so excited to have it back on again. Very sad that this may be the last season we get to enjoy the exploits of our loveable sociopath!

But you still tune in and watch and anticipate the show enough to read about the developments of the production process! You didn’t have to click and read the article FYI!

Since when did Jennifer Carpenter turn into such an attention whore? I preferred the days when the Dexter team would just STFU and make a great show.
