‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Is Tamara more than she seems?

On this past episode of “Once Upon a Time,” we became introduced to someone who may be one of the show’s most-compelling villains ever, and the twist is that she is not a fairy-tale character at all. Rather, Tamara is someone who comes from the real world, has real goals and aspirations for power, and already has a partner-in-crime in Greg / Owen that already has a decent understanding of the town of Storybrooke. Sonequa Martin-Green did a great job of playing cold and callous, but when she had the opportunity to play all-out evil, she managed to take it completely over the top.

So are there some more surprises still in store for this character? It certainly sounds like it. Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, executive producer Adam Horowitz had the following to say on the subject of just what is going to be revealed about the character’s weapon of choice next:

“We did not just kill a magical creature with an off-the-shelf Taser … The Taser isn’t what it seems at first, and we get into that soon.”

All we know for sure is that unlike some other villains on this show, she’s really no afraid to kill, even to the point of making sure it sticks. Her body count is the Dragon for sure, and she’s caused Pinocchio to be stripped of all of his memories and ultimately reduced back to a child form. While we know that Owen’s end game is to find out what happened to his father, who knows just quite what she is up to? The one thing we cannot imagine her wanting to do is expose the secrets of this place to the world, mostly because she would then have to share the magic with so many other people.
