‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: ‘House’s’ wife to play deadly vampire
Who knew that there would be so much “True Blood”-related news breaking on a nice spring day? Only a matter of minutes after sharing the news that producers were looking for a “nice” gay vampire to bring on the show for at least an episode moving forward, we’re now hearing that one of the other interesting new characters on the show has been officially cast.
Who is it? According to a report from TVLine, actress Karolina Wydra, perhaps best known for playing Dr. House’s green-card wife Dominika on the long-running Fox series, has joined the show in the role of Violet, an extremely dangerous vampire who is not afraid to use her sexual prowess in order to get her way. You can compare her in some ways to being a female version of Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric, at least when it comes to the sense of power and energy that she commands.
So what role exactly will this character have? There’s no real confirmation on that, but there are rumors about there being numerous love triangles on the new season, and that many vampires are especially going to have their hands full courtesy of a pretty corrupt Louisiana Governor who has no real interest at all in furthering along human / vampire relations. We anticipate there being a good bit of a bloodshed, and of course surprises as one of the other interesting castings this season is Rutger Hauer as Macklyn, a mysterious vampire who is believed to be this season’s Big Bad.
