The season finale for “The Walking Dead” is less then a week away and we are on the edge of our seat wondering how it’s all going to play out between the Governor and Rick – the one thing we do know is that it will be chaos.
In the last episode of “The Walking Dead” season 3 we saw Merle try to take out the Governor using a very clever distraction to attract his goons away from him, but in the end Merle’s stance against the Governor not only left him dead, but also as a walker. Dallas Roberts (who plays Milton) tells E! Online that he was surprised to learn that Merle had died. He said: “This is how close they keep their information to the vest. Milton didn’t appear in episode 315, which was yesterday, so Dallas the actor never got the script. So when I showed up to shoot episode 316, I went in the makeup trailer and saw a picture of Merle as a walker. That’s how I found out. That’s how closely guarded all of those secrets are.”
The Governor’s reign of power has clearly gone on long enough and the masterminds behind the show will want to wrap him up in some way since there’s no word on his character coming back for season 4, but who will be the one to ultimately kill him? There are a few different people that would satisfy the viewers if they were the ones to put an end to the Governor – Andrea, Rick, Michonne, Daryl and even Milton. They all have personal beef with him at this point, especially Milton who has been by his side since the beginning, watched all of his wrong doings and became more and more broken internally over the years because of it. This is why out of all the likely suspects to take out the Governor, we would be most satisfied with it being Milton (even though it’ll probably be Rick). So will he be the one to do it? When asked if Milton will be the person to kill the Governor, Roberts just laughed and refused to answer the question. Suspicious if you ask us!
