‘Glee’ season 4, episode 18 preview: Hints on Ryder, Coach Beiste, and many more

For those of you who like to know what is really going to happen on the next new episode of “Glee” entitled “Shooting Star” … you’re going to have to wait a few weeks. The musical comedy will be off now until April 11, but at that point it will run off the final five weeks of the season straight through until we get to the finale.

While we don’t know anything through this promo below about the overall story (though we will have some other details in the days ahead), there are a few other things that we have managed to catch:

1. Coach Beiste is back! Isn’t it about time that we had a little bit more Beiste in  our lives? Dot-Marie Jones has been hands-down the best actor on the show the past two seasons, and we really hope that another show manages to pick her up at some point to do some more work.

2. Ryder is dancing with who could be Katie! Is this his mystery new love interest in the flesh, or is he imagining this full-on a la what Manti Te’o probably did with Lennay Kekua? You know that there is some sort of reveal coming, and it’s not going to be pretty.

3. Other returning faces – Puck will be back, and the same goes for Will. It’s been a weird few episodes with cast members popping in and out, and the easy explanation here is simple: cutting out actors for given episodes lowers the budget, and there are too many now on that show. This is pure speculation, but we figure that much of the reason for the delay in announcing the season 5 renewal is getting on board the right amount of people for the rest of the show.
