‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Lea Michele teases reunion with Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer
Is New Directions about to get back together again on “Glee,” at least in the way that it was back during the show’s first season? Based on what one of the show’s stars is saying now, it certainly sounds like this is in fact something is coming around the bend.
In a new post on her Twitter account, Lea Michele proclaimed that she was at dance rehearsal with the likes of Cory Monteith (Finn), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Kevin McHale (Artie), and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina). Since she wouldn’t just be going to rehearsal for the heck of it, you have to assume that there is a major reunion of sorts in the works. This will mark the first time that the full gang is back together since Will’s near-wedding to Emma during “I Do,” and even then there was really not too much emphasis on them performing together.
Of course, this crew is also significant in that it marks the same group of students that originally performed “Don’t Stop Believin'” during the pilot, a song that has become synonymous with the show even more so than it did with “The Sopranos.” Could there be a repeat performance of it? There are rumors about Rachel reprising the song at some point this season (as suggested even more by a tweet from Michele that she is busting out an old favorite), but nothing is confirmed in that department just yet.
If anything comes from this New Directions reunion, we’re likely not to see for at least a few more weeks. Meanwhile, a new episode entitled “Guilty Pleasures” is airing on Fox Thursday night, and you can check out one of the previews over at the link here.
