‘Downton Abbey’ season 4: See Dan Stevens return … as a zombie
With all of the “Downton Abbey” viral videos being made these days, it almost feels as though the series is never really going on the air. Want to see someone else’s imagining of the season 4 premiere? Just go online.
At the end of the day, it seems as though most of these videos have a bit of a familiar theme to them: everyone ends up dead. For the latest example of this, just take a look at what has been cooked up with “Downton Zombie,” a video that combines a little bit of this series with “The Walking Dead,” and then ultimately watches blood and guts fly everywhere.
Perhaps the best moment of the entire episode comes when Dan Stevens’ Matthew Crawley returns in undead form, and then has a rather funny pun pertaining to his name. We also have a special cameo by Lady Sybil, and a joke about how the majority of the Grantham daughters are now as cold as cold can be.
While the ending of this video feels like many other out there when it comes to the conclusion, it’s still worth a few laughs. Not only that, but we’re sure that the series bosses at ITV are probably rather thrilled about this. While they surely want to protect their original properties, this also at the same time keeps people talking about the series during what is a very long hiatus. After all, new episodes will not begin airing until the fall, and that is just for viewers lucky enough to be in the United Kingdom.
