‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: One of the new faces speaks out
While there may be many deaths on “True Blood” compared to just about every other primetime series out there, the show also chooses to brilliantly make up for this at times by introducing just as many (if not even more) new faces than the ones that are written out of the show.
So with this in mind, is it even remotely a surprise that they are looking to do more of the same for the upcoming sixth season? It really shouldn’t be. While some of the more prominent new faces include the Govern of Louisiana (a notable vampire-hater) and a mysterious fanger named Macklyn that is played by Rutger Hauer, we are going to see a few other names enter the fold, including Jurnee Smollett-Bell.
You may have heard a few details about her character already courtesy of our previous report, but in an interview with The Huffington Post, the actress does her part to explain the role in her own words:
“I’m super excited about it. My character Nicole is … an activist who comes to Louisiana to help with ‘the cause.'”
The only other details that the actress (who has a rather busy schedule coming up) would admit to are that there will be animals … and also some “biting.” Sound dangerous enough, or just part for the course on a show where blood is being sucked on a pretty regular basis? We don’t know whether or not she will be around for the full season, but we figure that she will be in for a very rude awakening once she sees just everything that is going on in Bon Temps. (It’s much easier being an activist when you are not thrown into the thick of a situation.)
