‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 trailer: More fire, more dragons, and more awesome

When will the new “Game of Thrones” season 3 footage stop? Hopefully, the answer to this is “never,” as the producers behind the hit HBO series are certainly being rather generous right now when it comes to all of the footage that they are giving us new looks at what to expect.

In the latest trailer via the network, there certainly is quite a bit to like: there are Lannister shots aplenty, a dragon breathing fire, and we have a little bit more of Danaerys’ story featured than we have really seen on the show before. You could also say that this preview is probably the most spoiler-heavy of the bunch, since at one point during it you see Jon Snow and Ygritte locking lips (though didn’t everyone see this coming?), and you also see a new character who will be very important to the storyline later on.

There are just two weeks left now until we finally have the new season in full before us, and we can only hope that there will be more good stuff to share until that time. This is among HBO’s most-successful series when you look at all avenues, including DVD sales, downloads, merchandising, and viewing on demand after the fact, and so with that in mind you have to believe that they will continue to push and push hard in order to deliver some record ratings. The only thing possibly holding it back is that the show’s premiere airs at the same exact time as the “Walking Dead” season 3 finale.
