‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Desiree Hartsock has her first date

Do you want to see something rather interesting? Apparently, “The Bachelorette” executive producer Mike Fleiss’ new method to combat spoilers is by trying to spoil some things himself. While he is not being so blatant as to actually reveal who is getting roses and advancing further in the competition, he did retweet a photo on Saturday that features Desiree Hartsock in a fancy car with a currently-unknown man sitting at her side.

We’ll start things off here with a warning: if you don’t want to even see any of the men who are going to be on Desiree’s season until the show premieres in May, now is the time to stop reading.

The man sitting in the car appears to from a distance look like Patrick Dempsey meets former “Bachelor” Ben Flajnik, but it is distant enough that it is rather hard to know for sure. What we can say is that fancy cars are long known to be a show tradition for some of these early dates, which are traditionally over-the-top in order to be fun for viewers at home to watch.

By the end of Desiree’s second rose ceremony, she should have the field narrowed considerably, and after a few more episodes she will take off to another part of the country if the show holds true to form. Following this, we’ll start to see international destinations, with one of the primary reasons behind this being that it is easier to keep what is happening on the show a secret if there are fewer people around with a deep investment in it.
