‘American Idol’ notes: Jessica Sanchez, Adam Lambert, Kellie Pickler

TonightLet’s start this “American Idol” notes with some visual news: the official single cover for Jessica Sanchez’s debut single “Tonight” featuring Ne-Yo. This is certainly one of the most-anticipated songs of any former contestant in years, and at the moment it is also one of the most mysterious. Only a select few have had an opportunity to hear it, and it is looking more and more like the song may stay under wraps until it is performed on the show Thursday night.

Of course, the thing about single release dates is that they can change at the drop of the hat. Take for example Demi Lovato’s “Heart Attack,” which she released several days early completely out of the blue. With that in mind, we don’t want to really sit here and say for sure anything other than that the song should be available online Friday. We would hope that it would be available on iTunes by the time her “American Idol” performance airs, though, mostly since you would otherwise by missing a great opportunity to rack up downloads right away.

Jessica’s debut album “Me, You, and the Music” will be available for pre-order on March 21, and the album should hit stores on May 7.

Adam Lambert in Moscow – After an extremely long flight up from Southeast Asia, Adam arrived in a much colder part of the world this weekend for some shows in Minsk and Moscow; and now, we have a video from the latter via jadelle11.

The performance we wanted to share here is a cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” that he has performed at a variety of stops over the past several months, but given that it is a personal favorite we wouldn’t mind if he covered it at every show.

Kellie PicklerKellie Pickler prepares to make her dancing debut – Finally, we bring a reminder to all Kellie Pickler fans that the country star is going to be making her ballroom debut on “Dancing with the Stars” Monday, which makes her the first former “American Idol” contestant to appear as a contestant. She is not the first, however, to appear on the show in any capacity, as many have performed.

It’s not going to be a completely unfamiliar setting for Kellie, as “Dancing with the Stars” shoots literally right down the hall from where “American Idol” does their live shows. She’s also partnered with the most-successful pro on the show in Derek Hough, which gives her a pretty good shot at sticking around.
