‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Jon Snow wants to be a hero in new promo

After not receiving much in the way of “Game of Thrones” season 3 footage for the better part of over two months following the conclusion of the show filming, we’re now getting the opportunity to see a bevy of it in a very short amount of time. Yesterday, we shared what has to be among the most epic 30-second ads that we have ever seen for any show; and now, we have for you an equally-exciting clip that happens to be twice as long.

What is especially nice about this clip is the presence of so many familiar characters. You see Daenerys aboard her ship, Stannis Baratheon proclaiming his desire for revenge, and even a brief sighting of Ygritte inside of a cave (which holds some significant for those who have read the books). Tyrion, Tywin, Joffrey, and Cersei are among the Lannisters that are seen here, and if there is any one thing that the clip is especially light on, it is the Stark family.

Perhaps the most notable of dialogue in the clip occurs between Jon Snow and Mance Rayder, as the King Beyond the Wall proclaims that the motivation that Jon is using for his actions, more so than anything else, is to become a hero. He is more of a force for good than just about any other character right now, but who says it will remain this way forever? The disadvantage that Jon has is that being so innocent in some ways also makes him susceptible to being influenced easily by others.
