ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: When Nathan Fillion meets Alfred Hitchcock

It’s become almost all the rage in some ways for TV shows to emulate Alfred Hitchcock movies. There have been times in which “Psych” has utilized a few moves from the legendary director, and “Pretty Little Liars” has even themed a couple of their season finales around his greatest work. Now, we are learning that “Castle” is going to be doing the same thing for its 100th episode … at least to an extent.

According to a report from E! News, this episode is going to feature a pair of major circumstances that unfold for Nathan Fillion’s Richard Castle. For one, he is going to break his leg while on a skiing trip with his girlfriend Beckett (Stana Katic). To go along with that, he’s also going to bear witness to a crime.

So is everyone going to believe him? We surely hope so, since he has been with these people long enough at this point that he should have at least earned some sort of reputation and trust with them. Of course, even if the force does believe him there is still a pretty substantial difference between witnessing a crime and arresting a criminal. We know already that this episode is going to capture a little bit more of the show’s sense of fun that has been missing in recent weeks, and also feature some lovely callbacks to some earlier portions of the show’s run.

Even away from this episode, Castle is also going to have to watch out for some also threats to his physical well-being. For example, there is going to be a major bomb scare during the season finale … and that’s all we are at liberty to say right now.
