‘Glee’ season 4, episode 16 preview: Matthew Morrison talks boy band battle
On Thursday night’s new “Glee” season 4 episode, get ready to take a trip back in time; specifically, all the way back to the 1990s. This is really an age where boy bands ruled the earth, and we are going to see an epic battle rage between ‘NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys all over again … though this time courtesy of Finn and Will.
In the new sneak peek video below from Fox, Matthew Morrison teases that the feud between the two characters of course stems from the fact that Finn commits ultimate best friend sin #1 and makes a move on Will’s fiancee Emma; and even though it was a desperate move that he really did not intend to do leading up to it actually happening, there are still going to be some dire consequences to it and every shape or form. For one, Will will be ready to throw down at any given moment, presumably believing that Finn really is the responsible party for the end of the relationship.
Morrison also explains the basic premise behind what he and Cory Monteith are doing with their versions of “Bye Bye Bye” and “I Want It That Way,” with the first performance playing a definite homage to what was at one point one of the hottest music videos in the world. This had to be a particularly exhausting performance to shoot, but given that he was off for several weeks leading up to this episode, we’re sure that Matthew was ready to dive right back in.
What do you think about this video? If you want to take a look at one of the show’s most-ridiculous songs yet featuring Darren Criss and Jane Lynch, all you have to do is visit the story over at the link here.
