‘The Bachelor: After the Final Rose’: Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici to air wedding on ABC
After a ridiculously long and drawn-out finale for “The Bachelor” Monday night, the “After the Final Rose” special ended up bringing us some much-needed closure when it came to Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici. For one, the couple seemed to be genuinely happier following their season than just about any Bachelor has been with the woman he picked on the show; and when it comes to comparing them to “Bachelorette” couples, they really feel quite a bit like Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum.
As a matter of fact, these two may be further along in their relationship than any couple ever on the show at this point. The two announced that they are already so confident that they are right for each other that they want to get married, and they will be doing it sooner rather than later. ABC is also involved, and thus they are planning a wedding out that will air on TV.
So when could this feasibly air? Our prediction is that it will not be during the May sweeps when the network relies heavily on ratings, mostly because wedding specials have not really performed that well in the past. Instead, we have a feeling that it will probably come on at some point in late May (right around the time “The Bachelorette” is starting up) or a little later in the summer, at least so long as Sean and Catherine do not change their minds. We know that ABC will want to at least tie it together somehow to a perfect edition of the franchise, and if they do it over the summer while everyone remembers who Sean is, it increases the likelihood of viewers substantially.
