‘The Amazing Race 22’ preview: Do Dave & Connor continue to Bali? (video)

If “The Amazing Race 22” really wants to keep something a surprise, then they would probably be pretty well-served to actually hide this same surprise in some of their promos for the next new episode. We weren’t expecting to find out whether or not Dave & Connor were interested in continuing the race until Sunday night, but the video below gives us our answer a little bit early. (With that in mind, stop reading now if you want to be surprised.)

Based on the fact that we still see the father / son team running around in the preview, it makes it fairly clear that they are going to keep on racing despite Dave’s Achilles injury that is going to require a long recovery time. Obviously, his thinking is simply that he would rather try to battle it out injured then go home and regret not giving it a shot. It’s admirable and a little bit crazy at the same time, since we’re not sure long-term health is worth risking for $1 million prize (though this is coming from someone who broke his clavicle on a reality show and kept on competing for several more weeks).

Do we think that these two have any shot at all at winning this season? Not really, since this is the sort of show that you really need your limbs for. However, they will be an interesting team to watch.

We don’t want to focus this entire preview on Dave & Connor, so let’s go ahead and mention the breakdown that one woman suffers while out on the course, and Caroline & Jennifer plugging their music careers by singing one of the clues. (Would you expect nothing else?)
