‘The Amazing Race 22’ review: Dave & Connor land a new pair of crutches
The teams traveled to the hometown of Phil Keoghan this week in Christchurch, New Zealand, and it’s almost like he helped to design some of the craziest tasks we’ve seen this season … including a hilarious roadblock that literally required a team member to wear feathers, dive into manure, and carry around eggs.
(Be warned … just like with the episode, we’re pulling a fake-out with our placement.)
The placement
1. Dave & Connor – Really, you have to thank Jessica & John for this placement. Knowing that they were no longer a threat Honoring their deal, the couple gave the father / son team the Express Pass, and they used it to avoid a driving task that they couldn’t do and a slow fishing task to advance ahead. Sooner or later, though, Dave (who is in crutches) will have to do a roadblock, and they will be in big trouble when that happens.
To Be Continued! That’s right: there were no other placements this week. It looks in some ways like the team is considering dropping out of the race, and if that is the case, this will probably just be counted as yet another elimination leg. On the flip side, this non-elimination of sorts likely saves Max & Katie along with Bates & Anthony, who did a terrible time navigating and were likely going to be in danger of going home.
What did you think about this episode, and how long do you think that Dave & Connor will choose to stay in the race? If you want to check out more from this episode, you can do so over here.
