‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 17 preview: Who says they’re ‘done’?

Just when it looked as though we had all of the “Grey’s Anatomy” doctors back at Seattle Grace, someone has to go and find yet another reason to quit their job. The latest preview for next week’s “Transplant Wasteland” certainly suggests that there are some tough times ahead for the doctors … especially those who go by the name of Dr. Owen Hunt.

Ultimately, it is pretty easy to understand just why Owen would not want to be a part of this establishment anymore. He was at one point one of the most-powerful people at Seattle Grace, and all of sudden, he is being forced to work under someone in Jackson who was previous his employee. This certainly cannot be an easy transition for someone to make, especially when they have an ego that runs as big as Owen’s does. Sadly, he has also made a number of mistakes that hamper his position as someone to trust at the hospital, with the most notable one being the sole fact that he completely botched what happened leading up to the plane crash.

The rest of the promo does contain some footage that we have already seen on some commercials recently promoting the episode, in particular the moments of “passion” between some of the doctors. Our personal favorite is still Alex getting jealous, mostly because we’re still applauding Shonda Rhimes for really taking the time to make us invested in the idea of he and Jo as a couple.
