‘Glee’ season 4 song spoilers: Darren Criss, Heather Morris shine in ‘Shout’
“Glee” has a reason to celebrate when it comes to “Shout,” as it is the 500th performance that the show has put on over the course of its run. While at first we were actually rather bummed that this performance was going to be a song that has been overplayed at every school dance and sporting event over the past 20 years, it seems almost like a perfect choice once you actually listen to the song from Thursday night’s episode.
The first thing that you have to remember when it comes to this song is that it does actually have versus. Typically, it is easy to forget about the actual content of the song in the midst of the “a little bit softer now” and the chorus that typically yields for people going insane. Darren Criss and Heather Morris tackle the majority of the vocals as Blaine and Brittany, and they each excel when ti comes to just perfectly demonstrating the sort energy that is present in almost every note of this song.
As for just how this song comes about, it is related in some way to the mere fact that it is movie week during “Girls (and Boys) on Film,” and everyone is going to be taking on some music from some of their favorite films. This song was really made famous courtesy of “Animal House,” and it is a complete 180 from the emotional performance of “Come What May” from “Moulin Rouge” that Blaine is also performing in this episode with Kurt.
If you want to hear some more “Glee” song spoilers courtesy of Matthew Morrison’s take on “In Your Eyes,” all you have to do is check out the story over at the link here.

Dude, chill out. Did I say she has a bad voice? No. She has perfectly acceptable modern pop voice and not only is this song out of her league but singing with a stronger singer does her no favors. I’m not even going to get into the ret of what was said.

anon 03.05.13:
Heather does NOT have the weakest voice in the cast.
All this childish ranting … so foolish. I had grown used to it from the Rachel worshippers, but Tina? Really? … How many songs of Tina’s performances are considered as memorable as Heather’s Britney, Beyonce and Ke$sha numbers?
And if you’re going to forbid anyone but the strongest singers from singing, why should Rachel and Tina ever get to dance? From now on, only Heather and Jacob get to dance (or Mike if he ever returns). I guess you’d think that was fair, too? Probably not.
Let’s also forbid anyone but the Unholy Trinity from getting any sexy female roles, as they’re the sexiest of the women on the show.
After all, isn’t that what “Glee” is all about? Denying anyone but the strongest and most experienced a chance to shine? Apparently, it is to you.

I really wish this had been Blaine and Tina instead. Heather has the weakest voice in the cast and it really shows in the back and forth sections with Darren who is one of the strongest and most versatile vocalists in the cast.
