‘Glee’ season 4 song spoilers: Hear Darren Criss, Chris Colfer’s ‘Come What May’
While there are some great songs coming up on Thursday night’s “Glee” episode “Girls (and Boys) on Film,” we may as well be honest here and say that there was really one song that just about everyone was looking forward to seeing: “Come What May” from “Moulin Rouge.” This song was first announced weeks ago to be a duet between Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss), and while it is probably a little bit early to sit here and declare that the two characters are going to be back together, this is still a moment that their fans will be talking about for some.
Criss does most of the heavy lifting in this emotional ballad, which feels in many ways like his own musical dream sequence as Kurt’s voice floats into the song after the first chorus. While we don’t know this for certain, we believe that the photo attached here is actually from the performance of the song … which would mean that Blaine is still isolated from Kurt in some way (whether it be physical or metaphorical).
While the fantasy of Klaine back together is surely enticing for their fans, the reality here is that there are still a number of issues that need to be sorted out between the pair right now, whether it be Blaine’s cheating, the distance between them, or whether or not Kurt really has time for this sort of relationship given where he is right now at NYADA. He also has a new love interest there in Adam, who is probably going to be made aware of Blaine’s existence at some point.
What do you think about this song? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and also check out the link here to find out who Colfer is recording music for the show with this week.

Disappointed. Feels more like a Blaine solo with Kurt providing backvocals than a duet. I expected more.

Lovely cover…Been waiting 2 years for that- Darren’s middle register with Colfer’s upper register accent adds a wonderful depth, though I could have wished for that depth through the first part, as well. I’ll have to see it in scene, but it’s as wonderful as we’d have hoped ;) I had to get it immediately, along with Footloose.
