‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2, episode 16 preview: Cora’s story
Before we dive too deep into analyzing this new promo for next week’s “Once Upon a Time” season 2 episode, does anyone else find it delightfully charming that Mary Margaret has a dark ensemble to suddenly match her dark turn to try and kill Cora? The transformation of one of our heroes was what really came out of “The Queen Is Dead” more so than anything else, as Ginnifer Goodwin’s character started to believe that in this situation, being good was simply not going to be good enough to stop one of the most vile people to ever arrive in Storybrooke, especially now that she is in the possession of the dagger.
The promo promises that there will be at least one character who dies by the end of the episode, and given that the title is “The Miller’s Daughter,” be prepared to see an expanded storyline that really takes us deep into Cora’s past in order to try and figure out just who this person once was, and whether or not she was originally as evil and ambitious as she now is. As you are probably aware of now, Rose McGowan is going to be taking on the part of Young Cora for the episode.
As we near the end of the season, it is at least fairly clear where the road is heading: war is brewing in Storybrooke between Team Cora and Team Snow, and there are going to be valuable allies added to each side over the course of the coming weeks. One person we may not see much of in the next few episodes, however, is Colin O’Donoghue. The actor explained at PaleyFest this weekend that thanks to suffering a broken leg in real life, he was on the shelf and limited for a few episodes.
Who do you think is the most likely to die during this episode? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can check out some early scoop on the show’s finale by heading on over to the link here.
