‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4 spoilers: Showrunner Marlene King to direct premiere

Pretty Little LiarsEven though “Pretty Little Liars” season 3 still is far from over, we do have a little bit more scoop coming in now from the show’s executive producer: for the second time over the course of the series’ run, Marlene King is going to be stepping into the director’s chair.

In a new post on her Twitter account Sunday, King confirmed that she would be taking the reigns to direct the first episode of the new season … which is going to actually be filming right around the time that the season finale airs a little later this month. We anticipate that there will be a great deal of drama that carries over from one season to the next, in addition to a few shockers that we would never see coming at this point in the season. (We already know that Red Coat will be revealed, and we will also learn who Jenna was speaking with during the season 2 finale.)

While there is nothing really exciting about waiting for a new season to start, the good news when it comes to “Pretty Little Liars” is that the waiting period for new episodes is actually not really bad at all. So long as past traditions hold, we will only be sitting around for around two and a half months before season 4 is upon us, and then it will run straight through until the time when some viewers are heading back to school again.

What do you think about this news, and what sort of storyline are you expecting to see unfold during the early stages of season 4? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can read some more scoop on the “Pretty Little Liars” finale by heading on over to the link here.
