‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: Meredith and Derek study up

How is the pregnancy progressing for Meredith and Derek on “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9? Well, this is really a case of good news and bad news at the moment. We already know that Ellen Pompeo’s character is going to find some sort of happiness later this season … but when you remember that this is a Shonda Rhimes series, you have to realize that nothing is going to come particularly easy.

The photo attached here is from the ABC show’s upcoming March 21 episode entitled “Idle Hands,” and it features what seems to be a very happy Derek lying in band alongside Meredith, who seems to be mostly intent on reading a book in preparation of her child coming. Most details surrounding this episode, which is the show’s second one back following the March hiatus, suggest that the character is going to be experiencing a great deal of stress surrounding the pregnancy.

But is much of this anxiety justified? That is what is currently unclear, since it could just be a case of Meredith worrying as she tends do over every obstacle that she faces.

As for some of the other stories that will take place during the installment, we will continue to see the adjustment of one Dr. Jackson Avery into a man capable of trying to run Seattle Grace; meanwhile, Callie and Arizona are going to make another attempt at trying to re-light the fire in their relationship (which they attempted to without success a little earlier on in the season).
