‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Carly Rose Sonenclar, Emblem3, Demi Lovato
We’re going to start off this “X Factor” USA notes with something that we honestly wish we could share every time we do one of these articles: new music! Specifically on this occasion, we are talking about the latest from Emblem3.
While at their first show in a mini-tour of California this week at the Roxy, the group debuted some new music, and we have the three songs for you below. Our personal favorite of the group is “Just For One Day,” mostly because it feels like a nice combination of Sugar Ray, Matisyahu, and a group that we have compared these guys to before in Hot Chelle Rae. The other two songs that we have below are “XO” and “Chloe,” which is not about the show’s co-host in Khloe Kardashian (so don’t even start to go there).
The ladies at the Roxy certainly seem to love Keaton, Wesley, and Drew, and there are almost just as many phones pointing into the air as there are people in the audience.
Carly talks “Ellen” campaign – Do you remember that campaign that fans of Carly Rose Sonenclar put on in order to get her on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”? Well, it’s not completely going away just yet.
Carly spoke out recently in an interview with Celebrity Teen Scoop, and in it she discussed openly the movement that has been sparked on Twitter over the past several months. Not only that, but she commented on a certain mistake that Simon Cowell and Britney Spears made while promoting the show early this past season.
“I would love to be on the Ellen Show! After my first audition on ‘The X Factor,’ Simon and Britney went on the Ellen show and Ellen actually asked them about me and they said my name was Carly Rae! It was pretty funny to watch. I would love the chance to meet Ellen and introduce myself with my correct name!”
Demi Lovato’s new lyric video – Want to see Demi’s lyric video for “Heart Attack”? So do we! Go over to this link and start working to unlock the video, and we’ll embed it here once it is online.
Update: Here is the full video.

Janus…they’ve all had their recording options picked up by Syco, Tate, 5H, E3 and Carly, all of them. Syco is a recording label out of London, not a management company. Syco then will partner with a larger label, mostly for marketing purposes and deeper financial pockets. The only Carly raised for her Stageit performance was donated to The Starlight Foundation and all of her covers can be found on YouTube. Sounds like you’re a bit jealous, get over it. 5H will have a successful run but short lived. There are two out of that group that will be lured away by solo contracts….the other three will eventually disappear. Out of all of them, however, Carly will have the most success with a solo career. And Macfan you’re wrong about Carly’s personality, have heard enough of her interviews to say she’s the exact opposite of how you describe her, but you’re right about the pop star thing….her voice and soulful style will be bigger than just pop music.

Carly is a cute girl with a HUGE voice especially suited for Broadway Musicals. She came in as a pro no matter how young she is. They really shouldn’t try making her a popstar because she is not. Pop stars have some personality and spunk which so far she lacks. I do like her singing but feel her mentor had her going in the wrong direction. She would have been better suited with Demi or Simon.
E3 will be semi popular for a couple of years. Tate Stevens barely has a following and will disappear within a year or two. The real winners ultimately will be Fifth HArmony. Most had no vocal coaching and were put togehter as a group and made it work in a short period of time. These girls could rule the charts for several years and a few of them have potential for solo careers as well although I hope they stick together for many years…

Fifth Harmony released their cover for free. Whenever Emblem 3 does a cover, its free. They upload it to youtube. Why does Carly Rose always delay her covers? Is it because she wants us to pay to see it? And why does she record her covers when u can’t hear her because of a shi*ty microphone or no microphone? Or her brother overpowering her with his loud guitar playing? And the studio she records in sounds like a phone booth. And stop it with your excessive runs in your covers, you aren’t on broadway anymore. Ever hear of a c6? incorporate that in your song.
