‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Ryan Murphy suggests Spice Girls tribute on the way
Are you ready for “Glee” to spice up your life? Let’s hope so, since the show’s executive producer is promising that there is going to be some rather welcome music on the way that involves one of the most-popular girl bands of all time.
In a brand-new post on his Twitter account, Murphy shared a photo (which you can see below) which highlights Becca Tobin’s character of Kitty sporting what looks to be one of the Spice Girls’ most-famous ensembles. In some ways, it is actually surprising that Murphy had not ventured down this road already with the show: he has shown an affinity for the 1990s in the past, and also a number of artists who became cultural icons (whether it be Madonna, Britney Spears, or even to a certain extent Justin Bieber in the present).
We certainly did Kitty’s new get-up, mostly because it brings to light a different side to the character that we have not seen on the show thus far. After coming across as rather horrible the first few episodes of the season, she has in some ways simmered down ever since. Has her relationship with Puck been a key factor here? It’s possible, but unfortunately we have really not seen enough of the two characters together (especially since the Sadie Hawkins Dance) to really know just to what extent they are happy.
Are you interested in seeing a “Glee” – Spice Girls tribute beyond just one performance, or do you think that this song is it? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can check out some more scoop from Murphy when it comes to Rachel and Brody by heading on over to the link here.
