‘The Bachelor’: Chris Harrison surprised by Lindsay Yenter – Catherine Giudici finale
If you have managed to avoid spoilers for “The Bachelor” all season long, then this season likely feels like quite the revelation. Why? When you look at the final two contestants, neither one of them is someone who you would have expected to be there based on watching the premiere. This is the first time in our recent memory that we can say this: Catherine Giudici was limited to a few soundbytes, whereas Lindsay Yenter actually came across as the first-night trainwreck similar to how Jenna ended up being on Ben Flajnik’s season.
As surprised as you may be right now, no one was more stunned than Chris Harrison as we watched everything unfold. Speaking to TV Guide about the final two contestants on Tuesday, he explained that he never imagined in a million years that we would be seeing these two square off for Sean Lowe’s final rose in the finale coming up in just under two weeks:
“Lindsay was almost cut the first night and Catherine was on the chopping block the last few episodes. [This] may be the most bizarre final 2. I doubt anyone from the beginning would have said, “Yep, it’ll be a battle between Catherine and Lindsay.”
So who has to be the favorite right now? While we’ll take on this subject a little bit more in-depth during some of our upcoming “Bachelor” rankings, at the moment you have to tilt the momentum somewhat towards Lindsay based solely on the fact that she has more roses over the course of the season. Plus, Sean has called her name out before Catherine’s at the Rose Ceremony the past two weeks. These could be red herrings, or a sign of something more.
Who are you rooting for out of the final two ladies? If you want to take a quick look at the upcoming “The Women Tell All” special, you can do so by heading on over to the link here.
