‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4, ‘Supernatural’ season 8 finale dates set
While we still have a number of episodes to go before many of your favorite CW series come to an end for the year, we do finally have an opportunity now to learn just when the season finales for all of these shows will air. Is there something that we can learn from some of these days? If anything, it is that the network does not plan on pulling either of its lower-rated shows (“Cult” or “90210”) before their last episodes air, which has to at least be a comfort to showrunners worried that their completed product will never end up making it to air in the first place.
The following dates all come courtesy of The Futon Critic, and all shows featured here are airing at their regularly-scheduled times:
Monday, April 8 – “The Carrie Diaries”
Tuesday, May 7 – “Hart of Dixie”
Monday, May 13 – “90210”
Tuesday, May 14 – “Cult”
Wednesday, May 15 – “Arrow” and “Supernatural”
Thursday, May 16 – “The Vampire Diaries” and “Beauty and the Beast”
Friday, May 17 – “Nikita”
So how many of these shows are likely to be seeing their series finales air during this time? “90210,” “Cult,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “The Carrie Diaries” are all in the most jeopardy. “NIkita’s” recent ratings and syndication hopes likely keep it safe, while “Hart of Dixie” is solid by virtue of faring better than any other show airing the first two nights of the week.
The most “surprising” cancellation to some will probably be “Beauty and the Beast” if it happens, but like with “The Secret Circle” last week, there is a certain expectation for results if you are airing after the top-rated show on the network in “The Vampire Diaries.”
Do you want to read a little bit more about what is coming up on “The Vampire Diaries” a little later this season? If so, be sure to check out the story over at the link here.

CW has ordered 5 new shows last fall out of them only one was successful. Don’t know how many more years can this network survive. Have my own doubts.
