‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: What’s up for Nina Dobrev, Michael Trevino

While it at first seemed almost it was set in stone that Michael Trevino was going to be done with “The Vampire Diaries” this season after a pretty emotional scene with Caroline earlier this month, there is some good news that is coming out now: at some point before the season finale, the man known as Tyler Lockwood will rear his head one more time.

According to Zap2It, there will be one more appearance for the actor this season, as the massive reaction to the news of Tyler’s exit has caused producers for the show to start to rethink some of their original plans for the character. However, this does not necessarily mean that Caroline and Tyler will have a romantic encounter, or that he will stick around for a considerable amount of time after that.

We’re not just going to leave you with Tyler scoop: the site also reports that during the upcoming 18th episode of the season, we are going to get to see Nina Dobrev do something a little bit different than what she has done on the show in the past: play Elena playing Katherine. This marks a little bit of a change for the actress, as she has in the past really only taken on Katherine playing Elena. We’re sure that Nina had some fun toying around with her two different characters, and we are also pretty sure that Katherine is not going to appreciate what her doppelganger is going as soon as she finds out about it.
