‘Downton Abbey’ season 4 spoilers: Laura Carmichael, Allen Leech speak out
Want some more goodness pertaining to “Downton Abbey” season 4? If your answer here is “yes,” we’re pleased to share some new interviews featuring both Allen Leech and Laura Carmichael, who are of course two actors poised to play a pretty integral role in the story moving forward.
While attending the opening for a new production of “Macbeth” in London recently, both actors spoke to Red Carpet News about the play in which they were attending, and also were kind enough to at least share a few general details about what they were up to. In the case of Leech, he confirmed first and foremost that they are three weeks now into production on the new season, and he was also quick to add that Mary is going to be the center point for many of the stories as she looks to get over what happened with Matthew and restart her life. Leech also adds that there is some exciting stuff coming up around the middle of the season for his own notable character of Tom Branson.
As for Carmichael, she also promised that there are some exciting things coming up for Edith, who was faced with an interesting dilemma at the end of the season as to whether or not she should follow her heart, or the best wishes of the family and those close to her. She also explains that it is far more than just Mary who is mourning from the loss of Dan Stevens’ character.
Of course, don’t expect there to be much more in the way of concrete scoop shared on the season, as Julian Fellowes is keen to keep most details under wraps.
If you want to see what Tom Ellis had to say about not playing a love interest to Michelle Dockery’s Mary (as it was once widely reported), you can check this out by heading on over to the link here.

If Fellowes was dead we would not have had season 3 turn into a crappy soap opera.
